The Ed Brown 1911 Government Bobtail Mainspring Housing is a solid steel modification designed to improve the ergonomics and concealability of your 1911. By removing a full 1/2 inch of excess metal from the bottom rear of the frame, it eliminates the sharp butt that often pokes into the ribs during carry. This modification significantly increases comfort and makes the pistol much easier to conceal. The package includes a specially manufactured housing, a frame modification, and the necessary Officers model mainspring and internals already installed.
